2) Thanks to the December 16, 2011 post to the NFB - Access Technology Blog, we learn about Mobile PC Monitor, a mobile phone app that allows users to control and monitor many facets of the operation of their PC. A big practical ability is the ability to kill processes, such as frozen JAWS processes, so that a reboot isn't necessary.

3) The December 13 post to the same blog discusses the new Brailliant braille display and takes HumanWare to task for inaccurately suggesting that the display presently works with IOS devices, which it now does not.

4) To high acclaim, GW Micro has released GW Skype, a standalone alternative application for the Skype internet telephony program. It works with any windows screen reader and replaces the standard Skype program. It is much more accessible than the standard skype program and it is intended that it will remain so, no matter what changes are made to the regular Skype interface.

5) De Witt & Associates will begin creating training books for window-Eyes, which can be purchased through Gw Micro. $99 Books on using window-eyes with word 2007 and Word 2010 are now available.
