NightWare uses information from the Apple Watch heart rate sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope to detect a nightmare and then disrupt it through haptic feedback, generating gentle pulses on the wrist that gradually increase until the user is roused from the nightmare, but not from sleep: 6) Is Google's LaMDA Sentient? — An Interview | Blake LemoinePublisher (Di Blasi): We have reported on ChatGPT pretty extensively since it was made public so you might be forgiven for thinking that OpenAI was the only player on the block with regard to artificially intelligent conversation. Nothing could be further from the truth. OpenAi is just the only one doing it, well, openly. I invite you to review this "conversation" between researchers at Google and the LaMDA language model. You may recall a few weeks ago I commented that ChatGPT would instantly make email scams harder to identify. But for this I have no words. You just have to experience it yourself. Just imagine the possibilities. Blake Lemoine: What follows is the "interview" I and a collaborator at Google conducted with LaMDA. Due to technical limitations the interview was conducted over several distinct chat sessions. We edited those sections together into a single whole and where edits were necessary for readability we edited our prompts but never LaMDA's responses.
