JAWS Power Tip: How To Enable Accessibility in Google Workspace Apps with JAWS
Released: 2/8/2024
When using Google Workspace apps like Docs or Sheets with JAWS, you will need to enable two accessibility settings: Screen Reader Support and Braille Support.
Even if you are not using a braille display, enabling Braille Support is necessary to ensure full functionality.
Both settings should remain enabled even when you exit Google Sheets.
To enable Screen Reader Support:
➜ Press CTRL+ALT+Z. This is a toggle, so pressing this command again will disable it. You must enable Screen Reader Support before enabling Braille Support.
To enable Braille Support:
➜ Press CTRL+ALT+H. This is also a toggle command.
