EDITORIAL GUIDELINES:
How Do Top Tech Tidbits Editors Decide What Access Technology News Articles To Include In Each Weekly Issue Of Top Tech Tidbits?
1.) In order to be placed in queue for consideration an article must have been submitted to us through one of our Partner Channels or our dedicated online form.
Many content providers say to us, "hey, here's our blog, can you post our stuff?"
Unfortunately, we cannot.
Why? Because there's simply too much of it and we have no way of knowing what content, specifically, will prove most timely and informative to readers.
Therefore all articles must be submitted individually in order to be considered for publication.
2.) Each submitted article must have been released within the last week or so.
We will of course make exceptions for high quality content that our readers have not encountered before, but timing is paramount.
This is why we recommend to all content contributors that they submit their blog posts to us for consideration as they are released.
3.) Once your article has been submitted to us it lands in our publication queue for that week.
Here at the Vault we affectionately refer to this queue as "The Bits Bin."
All week long, John (Disability Attorney), Jenna (Disability Advocate) and I (Computer Engineer) vote on the articles in the bin, with an article requiring a vote from 2 out of 3 of us to be included.
How Do Top Tech Tidbits Editors Decide How To Vote On Each Article In The Queue?
1.) We are looking for current articles released in the last week that provide high quality access technology tips, guides, walk throughs, how-to's, demonstrations and/or explanations.
2.) We are looking for articles released in the last week that provide cutting edge updates and announcements around current access technology products and/or services. With an emphasis on reader education.
3.) Any approved articles that do not meet the above criteria for Top Tech Tidbits, such as opinion editorials about access technology products and services, are often approved for publication within our Access Information News publication instead.
