JAWS Power Tip: How To Set Focus Time in the Outlook Calendar with JAWS

Focus Time is a feature in the Outlook calendar that allows you to block off time to complete important tasks or projects.
This helps minimize distraction so you are more productive.
To set Focus Time:
1.) Open Outlook and press CTRL+2 on the number row to navigate to the calendar.
2.) Press ALT, then H to navigate to the Home tab, then press TAB until you locate the Add Focus Time button. Press ENTER to open the Focus Time dialog.
3.) JAWS will speak a message informing you your Windows notifications will not be muted, but they will be for the Outlook web app and mobile devices.
4.) Focus is in the appointment dialog in the location field. Press ALT+L to navigate to the title field. By default the word "focus" is already displayed. You can leave it as-is or type a new title.
5.) Press TAB to navigate to the Start Date field and either type a date or press DOWN ARROW to navigate forward by day.
6.) Press TAB until you locate the Start Time field, and press UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to navigate to the desired start time.
7.) Continue pressing TAB to navigate to other fields in this dialog, and set the end date and time, set the appointment as an all-day event, set a recurring appointment, or add notes.
8.) When finished, press ALT+S to schedule the appointment.
