JAWS Power Tip: How To Create a New Document in Google Docs with JAWS

There are multiple ways to create a new document in Google Docs with JAWS.
⚪ From the Google Docs home page, press H to navigate to the Start a Document heading.
⚪ Press B or DOWN ARROW to locate the Template Gallery button and press the SPACEBAR to activate it.
⚪ Select blank document from the templates list box. Focus will be placed in your new document, which is untitled by default.
⚪ From within an existing Google document, press ALT+F to navigate to the File menu, then N to create a new document.
⚪ From Google Drive, press SHIFT+T to create a new document.
⚪ To rename an untitled document, from within the document, press ALT+F to navigate to the File menu, then press R to select Rename.
⚪ Focus will be in the File Name dialog. Type a name for your document, and press ENTER.
