Released: 8/7/2025
Flagging a message in Outlook is an effective method to indicate that further action is needed.
For example, you can flag a message you want to follow up on by a certain date.
As you navigate your messages, JAWS will announce those that are flagged.
To flag a message:
1.) Locate the message you want to flag.
2.) Press SHIFT+F10 to perform a Right Click command.
3.) Press DOWN ARROW to locate the Flag submenu.
4.) Press RIGHT ARROW to open this menu.
5.) Navigate the options by pressing DOWN ARROW. You can follow up or take action on the message today, tomorrow, this week, next week, or choose a specific date.
6.) Press ENTER on an option to select it and flag the message.
