Updates below for all members of the Tidbits community. These are general updates for the week of August 11th 2022.

1.) Top Tech Tidbits Mailing List Scam Going Around. Important Information You Should Know

They say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery. In which case, everyone, including myself, our editorial team, readers, sponsors and supporters should all be flattered to learn that Top Tech Tidbits has become the subject of a mailing list scam that has recently begun to circulate via email. You may have received one yourself. If you did, rest assured that this email did not come from us. We do not sell contact information in any form whatsoever. But if you receive one of these scam emails (ours came from one Susan Miller) someone might try to convince you otherwise. Don't buy it. You will get no list. You will only get hacked. The email address that our scam was sent from is: susan.miller@narrativesweb.com. These persons do not represent Top Tech Tidbits and are promising to sell data that they do no possess. Please be sure to pass this along. I'll be sure to update this again if circulation continues in the weeks to come. Be safe out there.

2.) Full House. No More Sponsorship Packages Available. Important Note For All Current And Future Sponsors

I am extremely humbled to report that as of this issue, published August 11th 2022, all 18 of our Sponsorship Packages have now been secured. On behalf of all of us here at Top Tech Tidbits we would like to extend to each of you our sincerest thanks, and most heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support. Top Tech Tidbits is a sponsor and reader supported publication. Your sponsorships along with reader support are critical for us to be able to continue to offer free and unbiased access technology news to thousands of blind and visually impaired professionals, educators and enthusiasts all over the world, each week. Thank you.

In addition to all of our sponsorship packages now being secured, we also have a waiting list once again. There is currently one potential sponsor on the waiting list. So if you would still like the opportunity to secure a sponsorship package in the future, then being on our waiting list is very likely the only way you will be able to do so. While there appears to be incredible demand for sponsorship packages I'm afraid that 18 is the maximum number of sponsorship packages that the publication can support. There literally are not enough sponsor resources to expand beyond 18 packages. So 18 will always be the limit.

If you are a sponsor who enjoys the benefits that your current sponsorship package provides, then I encourage you to hold onto it. Because if you lose it, even accidentally, perhaps because you missed a renewal deadline, it might be a very long time before we could offer you another one. Several of our current sponsors have already spoken to me about this and asked if they could purchase either a quarterly or annual "Sponsor Subscription" that would renew automatically so that they never lost their package unless they truly intended not to renew. We thought this was a great idea. So we're looking into it. Once we have a solution in place, upon renewal, each current sponsor will be given the option to transition from a quarterly or annual invoice to a subscription which will automatically renew until they choose to cancel it. Not to worry, this is not something that you have to do. If you're comfortable paying your invoices then you can ignore this. But if you'd like the extra peace of mind in knowing that your sponsorship is always secure, then this option will be there for you.

If you're still trying to secure a package, in addition to joining our waiting list, please feel free to reach out to me. There may be things that we can do to help your business or organization gain exposure in the meantime (such as our Partners) while you're waiting for a sponsorship package to open up.

To the entire Tidbits community, words cannot describe how very proud I am of what we have accomplished together. Not only have we saved the Top Tech Tidbits Publication from certain doom, but we have successfully reinvented it in the image of the entire community. The Top Tech Tidbits publication is now owned and operated by 1 volunteer Publisher, 3 volunteer Editors, 1 paid Editor, 18 Sponsors, 9 Supporters, 137 Premium Subscribers and over 7,300 Readers. And never has the publication been more informative or robust. Hats off to each and every one of you.
