Updates below for all members of the Top Tech Tidbits community. These are general updates for the week of March 30, 2023.

1.) Attention Readers: Newsletter Links Not Working In My Email Client

If you receive the Top Tech Tidbits newsletter and find that none of the links within the newsletter are working within your email client, please be sure to check the online version of the newsletter.

Many email clients, depending upon their security settings, will automatically disable any email with a large number of links, and Tidbits provides far more than a large number, so this is not surprising. But it can be frustrating.

If you can't figure out exactly what setting within your email client is preventing our links from working you can always read each issue, unfettered by overzealous link security, online.

2.) Attention Sponsors and Advertisers: All Paid Advertisement Link and Character Limits Increased And Standardized

As of today, March 30, 2023, all paid Advertisements, which include Sponsor Classified Advertisements, Sponsor Featured Advertisements, and even Sponsored Tidbits, now carry the same character limits, and may now include up to 4 links each.

This new standard now applies to paid advertisements that run in both the Top Tech Tidbits and Access Information News publications.

What's the catch? Only one. In order to take advantage of this new feature you will need to submit your advertisement using its new, dedicated online submission form.

These new forms now provide you with tools that make submission even easier than submitting via email. How you say?

1.) By counting the characters for you within each field as you type or paste them in so you never have to worry about being under or over again.

2.) By providing the specifications for each asset that you need to provide so that you don't have to go hunting across our website each time in order to remember exactly what you need to submit.

3.) By using logic to show you only those form fields that you need at any given time.

We have listened to your feedback, and we have used it to create a better experience that makes submitting your advertisements much faster and much easier than it ever has been before.

With these most recent updates we are now moving even further away from an email-based workflow and ever closer to an all submission form based workflow for both publications. And we are still on course to making online form submission the sole option going forward. We are not making this a requirement today, but plan to do so soon, so please be sure to prepare for this announcement by quickly familiarizing yourself with the new forms below.

3.) Attention Sponsors: What Happens To My Sponsorship Package Subscription If My Credit Card Expires?

If you have an active Sponsorship Package Subscription and the credit card you have on file for your subscription expires prior to your renewal, we will be notified on the date of your renewal. We will reach out to you on that date via email to let you know and request an updated expiration and CVV for the card you have on file.

You can either provide us with that information directly, and we can enter it for you, or we can provide you with instructions for updating your card with the payment processor directly. You may utilize either method but one of the two must be completed within 72 hours of your renewal date.

After 72 hours your Sponsorship Package will be offered to the next sponsor on our waiting list or announced as available atop the next issue if we do not have a waiting list at the time.

So if you would like to hold onto your current sponsorship package, which all current sponsors can do for as long as they wish, It is incredibly important that you keep your email contacts with us up to date. Because if we cannot reach you in time your sponsorship package may be lost.

You can update your primary or billing sponsor contacts at any time by sending an email to: publisher@toptechtidbits.com 📧️.

4.) Attention Supporters: All Donation Links Updated And Standardized

Donation links have been updated across the site. We are moving away from PayPal for all primary payments and are in the process of standardizing all payments across the site through Stripe, which provides international payment options, security and compliance measures that PayPal does not.

In addition, PayPal confuses many people into thinking that they need a PayPal account in order to process a transaction. Which, while not true, is not something that PayPal makes it easy to understand. And that feels just a little bit like bully marketing to us, so we've made the decision to standardize through Stripe, so that readers anywhere in the world can tap into the Top Tech Tidbits community instantly, using whatever their preferred payment method might be. And all without ever thinking that they have to create an account in order to do so.

We will still offer PayPal as a payment option in the background for those that still use it, but we will no longer advertise PayPal as a payment option. If you currently use PayPal to pay us you do not need to do anything. It's not going away. We're just not going to promote it anymore.

5.) Attention Premium Subscribers: Next Premium Issue To Be Released On April 3, 2023

Premium Subscribers will receive their 4th issue of the 60 Most Clicked Tidbits for January, February and March 2023 on Monday, April 3, 2023.
